  My first experience with authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Lost my heart to the tabboulah. Aladdin's is located next to Dream Boutique; across a patio from Olivet; and a short walk from New Albany River Stage.

  Aladdin is a wonderfully tasty part of the food renaissance going on in Downtown New Albany. Our food was delicious - best hummus this side of the middle east, and oversized gyros. Our service was remarkably prompt considering the message on the top of the menu stating that all dishes are prepared fresh for you. The only thing lacking was the Colts game on the TV, but since it was lunchtime on a Tuesday that's probably asking a bit much.

  We have mixed reviews. Quaint and pleasant atmosphere. The staff was friendly. The hummus and pita bread was amazing! The gyro was also good.
  
  That said, my tabbouleh salad ($9) was about 1 cup in size. And the Greek salad ($9) that my friend got was the size of all restaurant's side salads with 4 olives, a couple slices of cucumber and a little crumbled feta. No pita bread or additives to make the price worth it. $3 sodas? Way overpriced, especially for lunch.
  
  If I go back, it'll just be for the hummus.
